Marcia J. Corbett
Marcia J. Corbett founded Advocates for Seniors, LC, first known as Corbett Paralegal Services, LLC, in 1998, after working for 10 years in the legal profession. She earned her Paralegal Certification from New York University and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a probate paralegal, Marcia worked with families who had lost loved ones and needed assistance in administering their estates. She encountered increasing needs in the elderly for guidance and advocacy services as their physical and mental capacities diminished. Creating a company dedicated to assisting seniors was the natural next step from those experiences. Her passion is helping seniors find positive solutions to the changes in their lives. Marcia earned the Internal Revenue Service designation of Registered Tax Return Preparer and participates in the Annual Filing Season Program for tax professionals.
Bob C. Corbett
Bob C. Corbett, Marcia’s brother, brings his expertise in finance and investing to the company. He earned an MBA in Accounting from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bob monitors investment portfolios and prepares income tax returns. He served as controller and investment manager for a real estate investment firm in Chicago for 20 years before bringing his depth of experience to Advocates for Seniors, LC.
