Meet the Team
Our mission is to help seniors preserve their assets, legal rights, and dignity-in-aging through high-quality legal assistance, health care advocacy, and tax and financial services. We are located in Mission, Kansas and serve the surrounding areas in the greater metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas areas.
Marcia J. Corbett
Founder, General Manager
Marcia J. Corbett founded Advocates for Seniors, LC, first known as Corbett Paralegal Services, LLC, in 1998, after working for 10 years in law firms in the Kansas City area. She earned her Paralegal Certification from New York University and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a probate paralegal, Marcia encountered increasing needs in elderly clients for guidance and advocacy services as their physical and mental capacities diminished.
She created this business to focus on the legal, health care and financial needs of seniors. She earned the Internal Revenue Service designation of Registered Tax Return Preparer and participates in the Annual Filing Season Program for tax professionals. She is a member of the Kansas City Paralegal Association.
Christina Wilkins, MSW CDP

As a licensed medical social worker, Christina has assisted hundreds of seniors in the skilled nursing, assisted living, and senior placement arenas. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped who she is today, a dedicated advocate with exceptional skills and compassion for our clients.
Christina is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and volunteers her time as a facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Groups. She has served on the Dementia Care Conference Committee and is also a certified trainer for the Virtual Dementia Tour through Second Wind Dreams.
Home Care Supervisor, Designer
Life events brought Jessica to Kansas City to care for her own mother and the timing couldn’t have been better. Having moved cross country to be here for Mom, she couldn’t imagine what it must be like for those who do not have family support as an option. She came on board to help with a simple task and turned out falling in love with the mission of Advocates for Seniors, LC.
As home health supervisor, Jessica is determined to ensure that our clients are receiving excellent care from all facilities and to assure them they will not be alone through the process. From prepping for and enhancing décor after moves, to advocating during hospital stays and interfacing with care agency aids, she is always working to keep our seniors smiling and supported.
Her many talents are also employed as our newsletter editor. She brings her unique style of creativity and surprise to everything she does.
