Marcia J. Corbett​

Founder, General Manager

Marcia J. Corbett founded Advocates for Seniors, LC, first known as Corbett Paralegal Services, LLC, in 1998, after working for 10 years in law firms in the Kansas City area. She earned her Paralegal Certification from New York University and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a probate paralegal, Marcia encountered increasing needs in elderly clients for guidance and advocacy services as their physical and mental capacities diminished.

She created this business to focus on the legal, health care and financial needs of seniors. She earned the Internal Revenue Service designation of Registered Tax Return Preparer and participates in the Annual Filing Season Program for tax professionals. She is a member of the Kansas City Paralegal Association.

Christina Wilkins, MSW CSW CDP

Senior Advocate, Chief Operating Officer

With over 15 years’ experience in the senior living and social services industries, Christina has found her passion in advocating for seniors and those in need. As a licensed medical social worker, Christina has assisted hundreds of seniors in the skilled nursing, assisted living, and senior placement arenas. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped who she is today, a dedicated advocate with exceptional skills and compassion for our clients.

Christina is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and volunteers her time as a facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Groups. She has served on the Dementia Care Conference Committee and is also a certified trainer for the Virtual Dementia Tour through Second Wind Dreams.

Kripa Collins

Paralegal

 Kripa is a recent graduate of Johnson County Community College’s ABA Approved Paralegal Program. She entered the Paralegal Program with the goal of working in elder and estate law to help people through the changes of life. 

Previously, Kripa worked with an independent film company and volunteered her time to assist those with developmental disabilities through a program at the college.

Kripa has many hobbies including writing historical fiction novels, cooking, and spending time with her tabby cat, Simon.
